Splash Planet
On the second Monday of every month an indoor waterpark has a "mom-and tot" day. It's $3 for Taylor and I get in free. Otherwise it would cost about $16 for both of us to get in. We go every month and I'm always talking about the new things Taylor is doing to Matt that evening. Finally after the last time Matt said that he wanted to go adn he was going to take a vacation day and hang out with us and go swimming. Taylor enjoyed having his daddy there. He showed him all his spots he likes to go and how he slides down the slides and is not scared of the water at all! Matt and him played with a ball for at least half the two hours we were there. Taylor really liked that! Here are some pictures from our fun day! (I'm most proud of Taylor's follow through when he shoots!!!with BOTH hands!)

Only 11 days left. I'm starting to feel really big now. The doctor said that I was carrying a small baby, I said "WHAT?" He then went to look at my chart and asked how big my first was and I told him and then he started trying to back track. He asked me how tall I was and decided that I had the height to "hide" a big baby. I sure don't feel like he's hiding anywhere! Anyways, things are progressing which is good. He said that the induction should go really smoothly. I hope so!
p.s.- Taylor is still clueless. He's in for a world of shock!

My Mom's Having a Baby
So we took a trip to the library yesterday. My main goal was to get this book for Taylor explaining that his mom was going to have a baby. I found this title online and it was in the kids section so I figured it would be a good one. I didn't even look at it at the library because... well I just didn't. We got home and were busy doing other things, so we didn't get to read until bed time. Matt was reading to him and I brought in his new book, "My Mom's Having a Baby." I started looking through it while they finished another book. The baby in the book was going to be due in May, just like ours so I thought that was cool. Then I flipped to this page...(click on the picture if you want to read it)

I showed it to Matt and then read the bottom line, "but how do the sperm and egg get together, I wonder? " The little girl asks her mom this question and of course the answer is on the next page, in graphic detail.

Well, we figured this was a little over Taylor's head. The rest of it is pretty good, but too technical for Taylor. Taylor knows there's a baby in mommy's tummy, he doesn't understand the word uterus yet, and I think I'm ok with that. The book is going back to the library soon. After Taylor went to bed Matt informed me that I would have to give the "sex talks" to all our children, he just can't do it. Maybe we'll just check out this book again!

I've been meaning to post lately... and now it's been almost two weeks, sorry! Have you ever had one of those days where you have so much to do that you just sit down to decide a plan of attack and then never actually get up to do it? I have ALL these things that I need to get done, and I just feel like I'm going backwards and creating a mess behind me that I'll have to tack on to my list later...
Taylor and my project today was to sand a dresser for baby. I bought it for $22 and am going to refinish it to match the dresser I did for Taylor. Taylor has so many clothes that baby has no space, which means I can't put baby's clothes away yet because I don't have a space for them, so we just have to trip over the boxes for a little while longer! Taylor wanted to help... this was the best he came up with.

I'm having a baby in 18 days! It hit us really hard last night, adn therefore I couldn't fall asleep until 12:30 because I was thinking about all the things I needed to get done, which then overwhelmed me and carried into today. Hope you're more productive than I am, send your best wishes my way, we're kinda on the clock now!
Also coming soon... Matt took a half-day off of work to go swimming with Taylor and I at "mom-and-tot" day. There's some good pictures! I know you can't wait!

My friend Jess did an "art project" with her daughter (who's 2 months older than Taylor) the other day so I thought we could try it too. I got some magazines out and asked Taylor to point at pictures he liked... well, he doesn't quite have the attention span to pick out pictures, have me cut them out and then glue them to make a collage. Frustrated I went in to the computer room and had him pick out some pictures of trains that he liked off the internet. We colored those instead. My only conren with coloring is that he will ONLY use the red or orange! That's it. He organizes all the crayons so they are lined up touching each other and picks out the red or orange one. I'll try and offer him another color but he just holds it for a little while and then puts it back in line.

Trains
Taylor LOVES trains! He gets so excited when anything to do with trains is around him. Matt was the same way as a child so it's really neat to see how excited both of them get now. Even if we drive over railroad tracks he gets excited. One the ranching and farming channel they have documentaries about different trains throughout the U.S. adn he loves it! They talk about the engines and how old they are adn how they remodeled them, but as long as the video of the train moving on the track is on the tv he's happy!

For Easter grandma Conran made him a train quilt. It has a railroad going all along it so he can drive his toy trains. We got it on Monday and on Tuesday morning when he woke up he asked to play with it. He could lay down and play with it all day long if I let him.

Happy Easter!
Hope everyone had a great Easter holiday and had time to really reflect on the true meaning of it. We re-read the accounts of Christ's resurrection from the New Testament and are eternally grateful for the sacrifice that He made so that we can all return to live with Him and our Father in heaven again. The reading was a little too much for Taylor so he colored a picture of Jesus and now says Jesus too!

Taylor got a new suit to wear for Easter Sunday and after church we did an egg hunt. He liked that a lot... he might've like the sucker he had a little more though! Happy Easter! (a day late)

p.s. only 6 more weeks til our new "egg" comes! yahoo! there's an end in sight!

When Taylor eats he ALWAYS has to tilt his plate or bowl. Why I don't know... neither Matt nor I do this but Taylor has to! He has evolved now to putting his bowl to his face and trying to lick the rest of the food off of it. (again, he has not picked up this habit from Matt or I) With spaghetti this can really be a mess but it is pretty funny and we can't hold in the laughs which just encourages him.

There's a lady on momadvice.com that is spring cleaning her house and she types up something to do everyday for one hour and she includes a crock pot recipe along with it. I haven't started cleaning yet but I'm going to follow her plan. She started in her kitchen and is now in the bathroom. I "spring cleaned" our bathroom two weeks ago when my mom was here so I'm going to do the kitchen now and catch up with her sometime next week. If nothing else I'll just use her for the crock pot recipes. Here the site if you're interested. http://www.momadvice.com/blog/labels/Printables.htm I better go, today is deep cleaning my floor day and Taylor's already been down for 40 minutes, I've only got 1 hr and 20 minutes left!!!!

Taylor FINALLY said "mom" on Saturday. It's so cute to hear him call for me rather than scream! The weather has been gorgeous this week so we've been outside for hours everyday. Yesterday we ate our lunch in the "fort" of Taylor's playset. He loves it so much! I don't know if I've talked about this already but my parents built Taylor a playset in our backyard for Christmas. He loves to go up and down the stairs and the slide. He usually goes down the slide on his belly, he thinks that's really funny!
One quick story about my little boy... Today we went to Hobby Lobby to look at some fabric. Taylor loves to push the cart so I let him. He started pushing it on his knees so it was taking FOREVER to go up and down the aisles so I started pushing it a little faster and asking him to stand up. Well, he did just the opposite and layed down on the ground still holding on to the bottom of the cart. I pushed the cart a little figuring he would let go and stand up and chase me, instead he held on and laughed so hard. That's now his favorite way to go shopping, being dragged behind the cart! At least the store's floors were pretty clean and thanks to use they look even better than before!

30 Weeks and Counting...
So my official date is May 13th to see this guy, but because of the size of Taylor, they don't want me to have a baby any bigger than him, so they've penciled me in for an induction on May 7th. We'll see if everything looks good around that time and then decide if that's what right for him. (And yes we call the baby, "baby" or
"him" because we don't have a name and are no where close to picking one...) At least I still have days where I think that I'm not really THAT big yet. Today was one of those until I saw the picture on the computer... I'm big!

My Skateboarders
Taylor found Matt's longboard the other day and wanted to play with it so I let him ride it around in the garage. When Matt got home from work we were outside playing and Taylor ran to the garage and got it out so dad and he could ride it. The pictures are kinda blurry but you get the idea. Taylor loved it!

Pregnant Belly
So I took this picture at 25 weeks exactly and I'm now a little over 26 1/2 wks and I've gotten bigger. Everytime I go to church someone comments that I am a lot bigger than I was the week before and then asks how big I really get or if my doctor's are sure about my due date. I smile and say yes they are. These people are in for a shock come beginning of May... I will be HUGE! The picture of me in the blue shirt is this pregnancy and the other one (white shirt) is me 13 days before Taylor came. Bring it on!!!

Great Success and Great Failures
I came home from Mutual on Wednesday and was met with this quote by Matt, "Taylor and I had some great success tonight, and then we had a great failure." They had gone shopping because Matt needed some new jeans and as you can tell in the picture, that was his success. At the store though Taylor had a dirty diaper and when they got home Matt said it had leaked out everywhere. He let Taylor "soak" in the tub so he could scrub it all off, and that was the great failure. (he banned me from using "off-brand" diapers any more)

I absolutely LOVE my husband. He is an amazing man. Some of the things that I love most about him are the things that are most different from me. I came home to see all these clothes on our bed that he had bought but couldn't decide on until we had a "fashion show." ("fashion show, fashion show, fashion show at lunch..." any Office fans out there know what I'm talking about?) Anyways, he had all the jeans organized by color, and then "sub-organized" by price. It is so funny to see the way his mind works sometimes. I LOVE it! We went through all the clothes to pick out just 2 pairs of jeans and a couple of shirts, all the rest went back. But the fashion show was pretty entertaining.
